Frequently Asked Questions

What is an International Driving Permit (IDP)?
An International Driving Permit (IDP) is a document recognized internationally that allows the holder to drive a private motor vehicle in any country that recognizes IDP.

It is a translation of your national driving license that provides essential information from your driver’s license in several languages. It is important to note that an IDP does not replace the need for a valid driving license from your home country; rather, it acts as a supplement.

Any citizen holding a valid driving license can apply for an IDP through the Nimbuzz platform.

1. Open Nimbuzz App (Make sure you have the latest Nimbuzz app installed and are logged in).

2. Navigate to the IDP Section (From the main menu click on "Explore" then select “International Driving Permit” or “Driving Permit”.

3. Choose Your IDP Type & Duration (You’ll see options for IDPs (eIDL digital + optional physical card) and validity periods (1, 2, or 3 years). Pricing is clearly listed in NPR).
