Nimbuzz Ping works on all Java and Nokia Symbian mobile phones. Simply activate Nimbuzz Ping in your Nimbuzz Settings by verifying your phone number. You will receive free text message notifications whenever someone is trying to connect with you.

Nimbuzz Ping is completely free. Not only do you save battery power, you also don't need to buy an expensive smartphone to stay connected.

Make sure you have the latest version of Nimbuzz installed and check if your mobile network operator (provider) supports it by looking at our list of participating partners.

You just have to have your phone number registered and .verified.

Make sure you have your phone number registered on Nimbuzz.

You can do that on Menu> My Account> Phone number.

Once this is done you can go to:

Menu> Settings> Nimbuzz Ping> Enable

If this service is not provided by your operator a pop-up message will notify you.

Nimbuzz Ping is available for Nimbuzz Mobile on Java and Nokia Symbian devices.

You can verify your number by:

• Register your phone number on Nimbuzz: Menu> My Account> Phone Number
• Nimbuzz will now ask you to verify your number, press OK. You will receive an text to the number you have registered, if the phone number is incorrect, you can edit it.
• Once you have received the verification code go to Menu> Settings> Nimbuzz Ping> Enable> You get prompted to a screen where you can enter the received 3 digit code, make sure you introduce it correctly, you have 3 tries a day.

• Phone number you are trying to verify
• Exact error message you receive when trying to verify the phone number

Yes, you can modify or remove your registered phone number.

If you wish to add a new phone number you will need to verify the new number again.

To change your phone number once logged on Nimbuzz:

Go to Menu> My Account> Phone Number> Edit

Once you edit the phone number, a pop-up message will inform you that: If you edit your Phone number, Nimbuzz Ping will be disabled. You can re-enable it from the settings screen.

You can enable Nimbuzz Ping by:

Menu> Settings> Nimbuzz Ping> Enable

Any of your Nimbuzz Contacts that have Nimbuzz Ping enabled.

Nimbuzz contacts that have enabled NimbuzzPing will appear as ONLINE in your contact list, but without a presence icon next to their name.

Just click on the contact, and send a chat message. Your contact will receive a Ping notification of your chat.

To receive Nimbuzz Ping text notifications your Nimbuzz contacts will have to:

• Be offline with Nimbuzz Ping enabled
• Have their phone number registered and verified
• Nimbuzz Ping settings enabled

Check with your friend if he/she does not have his/her phone number registered or the feature enabled.

Yes, your phone number and personal details are NOT visible to other users and will never be shared without your permission.
