How do I download it?

You can download Nimbuzz directly on your phone by pointing you mobile phone browser to get.nimbuzz.com.

Which devices does Nimbuzz support?

Nimbuzz is available for more than 3000 devices, and is compatible with Android, iPhone, Java/MiDP/J2ME, Blackberry and Symbian operating systems. Check here if we support your device.

We are constantly working on new releases that support more devices.

Is calling supported on my device?

Nimbuzz supports calling on Android, iPhone and Nokia Symbian S60 3rd and 5th generation devices.

Due to some technical limitations we do not provide calling on BlackBerry and Java based devices.

How do I make a NimbuzzOut call?

Make sure you have selected NimbuzzOut as your call provider:

Settings > VoIP provider > Select NimbuzzOut

To place a call: Select the Dialpad/Keypad tab and enter the number you wish to call. Remember to include the international dialing code.

Please note that NimbuzzOut calling is not available for Blackberry and Java/MiDP/J2ME devices.

I cannot find Chat rooms

Chat rooms are currently available on Nimbuzz Mobile for Symbian and Java devices.

We do not have plans to implement them in other platforms in the near future.

How do I send a file?

You can:

  • Select and double tap the Nimbuzz buddy you want to send a file
  • Select Contact or open a chat window > Options> Send Multimedia/File> Send
  • Enter a message that describes the file (optional)
  • Press OK

Note: this feature is not available for BlackBerry users.

Can I place Video Calls if I have a camera?

We aim to support Video calling in the near future.

I get Fatal Error -6 or -20 when starting the app

If you receive this error message, uninstall Nimbuzz and reinstall it again saving the application file on the phone memory (c: drive) instead of the sym card memory.

My files have disappeared

Starting on 1st January 2011 all files older than 6 months will be removed from your Online gallery in order to make room for new files in our servers.

Note you can login Nimbuzz and download the desired files and save them on your device before they get deleted.

You can download your files and save them by:

  • iPhone: go to the Messages Tab
  • Android: go to the Inbox Tab
  • Symbian: go to the chat tab -> click options -> received files
  • J2ME/MIDP (Java): Menu-> Messaging-> Online gallery
