Director Operations
Location: Cordoba, Argentina

Position summary
Nimbuzz is looking for a Director Operations that will take end-responsibility for our Live systems. You will lead our System Administration and Monitoring teams. At this moment the total size of these Operations teams is around 10 people and growing. It is your task to build an organization that will look after the heartbeat of the Nimbuzz systems including responsibilities such as release management, incident management, configuration management, capacity management, service continuity management and service level management.
You will report directly to the Nimbuzz CTO in the Netherlands. You will work closely with the CTO on technology outlook and implementation and with manager QA and Director Development on bringing new developed software in a safe and controlled way into the live system.
You should have a flexible attitude as the priorities of the team will be changed from time to time in order to meet the changing needs of the business. The role will normally operate within standard office hours, but at times additional hours may need to be worked in order that deadlines and business needs can be met.

Currently, we are interested in candidates with 5+ years of demonstrable experience in managing teams running operational environments. The ideal candidate will have excellent management skills, has a strong technical background and has a strong sense of responsibility.

Key responsibilities
•    Management and organization of operations teams
•    People management
•    Reports to CTO
•    Works closely with CTO on making sure all development takes place according to Nimbuzz process and quality guidelines.
•    Works closely with Director Development and manager QA for a smooth introduction of new software into the live system.
•    Signals development bottlenecks/issues in an early phase and takes action accordingly

Required experience
•    Strong background in mobile and/or Internet technology
•    Affinity with Instant Messaging, Social Networking, Mobile and VoIP
•    5+ years of experience in managing teams running operational environments
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Ability to work in a multi cultural environment
•    Combines broad overview skills with great eye for detail
•    Fluent in English and Spanish
